Determining Value

Q: What type of Jewelry do you buy?

Q: How is payment of my items determined?

Q: If I paid $500 for my ring. I should expect to get $500 from Secret Gold Rush?
A: Retail stores mark up jewelry five, 10 and even 20 times or more. We pay for the “melt value” of your jewelry – that is, the value of the gold itself once it has been melted down and sent to the refinery. Craftsmanship is not a consideration when assessing value of your gold.

Q: What if I do not know if my Gold is genuine?
A: Send it in anyway. It it is genuine, we will pay you for it. If not, we can send it back to you.

Q: If the insurance company appraised my jewelry for $500, so I should receive $500 from Secret Gold Rush?
A: Insurance companies will appraise your jewelry based on “retail replacement value.” In other words, what will it cost to replace your jewelry if it is lost or stolen? Therefore, these appraisals do not consider the value of the gold itself and have nothing to do with payment you should expect from us.

Q: There is a stamp on my ring indicating “18K.” Is this reliable?
A: Unfortunately, not always. Although most countries require manufacturers to stamp the gold content of their jewelry, very few countries (including the US) enforce these laws or require an independent third party to evaluate the item. The stamp on your jewelry may be correct, but it is quite common to receive jewelry that is fraudulently stamped.

Q: What testing methods are used to determine purity of gold?
A: Upon receiving your gold,we will first look for a stamp on the jewelry made by the manufacturer indicating the karat. Then we will verify the gold purity of your items.

Q: What if there are stones in the jewelry?
A: We do take pieces with stones in them, however please note no stones are returned. If it is something you wish to keep, please have it removed before you send the piece.

Payment Methods

Q: What is the 14 Day Satisfaction Guarantee?
A: It means that you have an extra 14 Days after receiving your Check to change your mind. If you change your mind, just send us the check back and we will return your package.

Q: What is the Secret Gold Rush payment method?
A: Once payment for your items has been determined, a check will be mailed to you. If you choose the Cash4Today payment method, the amount will be directly deposited into your bank account.

Q: How do I choose the Cash4Today payment method?
A: After we give you your quote, you will have an option between direct deposit or check.

Q: How much does the Cash4Today payment method cost?
A: It costs $4.99 to wire funds directly into your bank account.

Q: Is there a minimum payout required to use Cash4Today?
A: Yes, your payout must be at least $20. If not, a check will be mailed to you.

Q: If I use the Cash4Today payment method and I am not happy with my payment, can I ask to have my items returned?
A: No. By selecting the Cash4Today payment method, you agree to waive the return policy.

For Your Protection

Q: What Protection Measures do you take against lost jewelry?
A: Your package will automatically be insured for $100 by your carrier. Additional insureance is very cheap, usually around $1.50 for each $100 of insurance. Your courier will then issue you a tracking number. When the package is delivered, we will sing for it, and you will know it has been delivered. In the worst case, if the package is lost, your courier's insurance will pay for the package.

Q: What is the Process After You receive the package??
A: We open it, weight it, and check the genuineness and karat of the gold. This process is documented for your protection and ours. We may Video Tape or Photograph the Whole process and keep it until your check is cashed.

Q: What if there is a disagreement?
A: If there is a disagreement on what was sent, or what quantity was sent we will do an investigation. We will look at the weight of the package as it came in. This is documented by the courier. Secondly, we will look at the video footage/photos of your package as it is being opened. The videos/photo is the document used to determine the outcome of the investigation.

Q: What is your Referral Program?
A: Refer a friend to us and when they sell their Gold we will send you a referral fee check as well. We pay out a percentage of the value of the gold that was sent. If they send more, you will get more. In the end, you can keep it or share it with your friend.

Part 2 Hosting Gold Parties

Q: What is a Gold Party Host?
A: Someone who sets up a Gold Party at their home or a neutral location. As a Host, you will be working with one of our partners, who will assess the gold. Just for hosting you will receive 5%-10% of the Total Gold Purchases plus Bonus. If you are also a partner, you can earn an additional 10%!

Q: What is a Gold Party Partner?
A: Someone who goes to Gold Parties, Tests the Jewelry and Purchases it for us. Partners earn 10% commission on the Gold/Precious Metals that they purchase.

Q: How Does it Work?
A: You sing up as a Gold Party Host. We provide educational materials on how to set up and Host a Gold Party. We Pay you a percentage of the Gold purchases.

Q: What are Hosts Paid?
A: Typically, a Host starts at 5% commission plus Bonus if certain amount of people sell their Jewelry or certain quantity of jewelry gets purchased.

Q: How are Hosts Paid?
A: We can pay both in cash or via check. We reserve the right to pay by check.

Part 3 Becoming Our Partner

Q: What is a Partner?
A: A Partner is someone we send out to purchase Gold on our behalf. As a Partner you can Host Gold Parties and Purchase the Gold, thus earning an even greater commission.

Q: What are the Advantages of Becoming Partner?
A: As a Partner we help you make money! We send you out to Gold Parties and Help you Host your own Gold Parties. We also, agree to purchase Gold or any other Precious metals at Refinery prices (90%+), in other words we pay top dollar for the Gold You sell Us.

Q: What is your Affiliate Program?
A: Our Affiliate Program is a program designed to help our Partner earn extra via the internet. We help you set up and market a web site. The web site will inform people about Future Gold Parties in your area, and it will let online sellers sell their scrap to you via mail.
